Kimberly Pérez, M.S., LMHC is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and is the Founder and primary therapist at the Divine Mercy Healing & Counseling Center. She has 13 years of experience in the mental health field. Kim has worked extensively with survivors of sexual violence, domestic violence and human trafficking. Kim has been in the role of Forensic Interviewer for child sexual abuse cases referred by law enforcement and served as the State Attorney’s Office Liaison in the 17th Judicial Circuit for sexual battery cases. She has also held supervisory roles. In addition, Kim has experience providing therapy for formerly incarcerated men and women, the homeless, individuals struggling with severe and persistent mental illness (i.e., Schizophrenia, Bipolar Disorder), those struggling with depression, self-harm, anxiety, substance use, teens with behavioral problems, issues within the parent-child relationship, etc. Her therapeutic framework is systemic, and she believes that working with the family is instrumental for change. Kim has worked with youth and families referred by the School Board District and also via a Family Violence Intervention Program for first time juvenile offenders who have been charged with domestic battery or assault.
