I work with individuals who are experiencing anxiety, overwhelm, grief, trauma/PTSD, narcissistic abuse, and relationship issues, as well as those who are simply seeking greater self-awareness and insight. My clients tend to be curious, creative, out-of-the-box thinkers who are highly motivated to create change in their lives. I believe in drawing upon my clients’ inherent strengths and sense of resiliency. I am particularly interested in the link between the body and mind, and enjoy teaching my clients practical tools to help improve their daily lives. I am trained in various trauma healing modalities, including EMDR and Trauma Resiliency Model (TRM).
In addition to my counseling work, I am a certified yoga therapist. Since 2001, I have taught yoga, mindfulness, and meditation in a wide variety of settings, including hospitals, a cancer support center, and an eating disorder facility. Prior to specializing in mental health, I worked for many years as an actor in film and theatre.
I often work with artists and creatives, & I have a great respect for the creative process and for the unique issues that artists face while pursuing their dreams and goals. I work to create a safe, non-judgmental space for my clients & I welcome feedback from my clients. I believe we all have the capacity to change when given the right support.
